Concerned stakeholders of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State have commended the Chief Dan Orbih-led Governing Council of the institution for facilitating the construction of a network of road by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in the school.
In a statement weekend in Benin City by the concerned stakeholders, they maintained that Chief Orbih, the pro-chancellor and chairman of Council, has done well by using his wide political links to engineer the infrastructure development of the university.
The statement which was signed by Dr. Festus Imoisili explained that in the last two decades, Chief Orbih, the former Edo State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the only pro- chancellor that has used his wide political links to uplift the infrastructure of the school.
Imoisili particularly hailed the ongoing construction of the internal roads within the institution, describing the development as a significant step towards improving the infrastructure and overall environment of the university.
He said: "Today, even the blind can notice the massive road construction taking place in the university."
He urged the Council not to relent in its avowed commitment to reposition the state owned tertiary institution.
The statement added: "We are also convinced that it will extend to other areas, soonest."
