Buoyed by the peaceful outcome of the just concluded primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan North East/Esan South Federal Constituency, former speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Okiye has enjoined party members to work hard towards the re-election of Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
At the primary which held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, the leadership of the party in a consensus agreement elected incumbent Prince Okojie as the APC flagbearer for the 2027 election.
The exercise, which was largely peaceful and orderly, was part of the statewide House of Representatives primaries conducted across the 18 local government areas of Edo State.
Hon. Okiye, the executive chairman, Edo State Lottery Regulatory Commission,who was at ward 3 for the exercise joined other leaders and members to monitor the process across the two local government areas of Esan North East/Esan South East in the Agbazilo Federal Constituency.
The ex-speaker drummed support for the re-election of Hon. Okojie and President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 elections to deliver infrastructure and other dividends of democracy to the people of North East/Esan South East.
Hon. Okiye added: "I want to commend the party for organizing the exercise, which was largely peaceful and devoid of rancour.and led to the emergence of the incumbent House of Representatives member, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie as the candidate.
"All APC supporters should come out en masse and vote Prince Okojie, President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming election so that they can deliver more dividends of democracy to the people."
