Edo Lottery Commission Members Commiserate With Deputy Governor Idahosa Over Mother's Death

Members of the Edo State Lottery Regulatory Commission (ESLRC) have paid a condolence visit to the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, following the passing of his beloved mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa (neƩ Enabulele), 95, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

The delegation, led by the executive chairman of the Commission, Hon Francis Abumere Okiye, and some members of the Commission, including executive commissioners,  Hon. Elvis Uadiale and Hon. Ndidi Aghimien, among others.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Okiye conveyed the Commission’s heartfelt sympathies to the Idahosa family, emphasizing that the loss of a mother is one of life’s most profound and irreplaceable pains, given the unique bond, love, and guidance that mothers provide. 

The former speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly prayed God to gran the deputy governor and his entire family the strength, comfort and grace needed to navigate this painful moment, while also finding peace in the impactful life she lived.

Hon. Uadiale described the news of the passing of the matriarch of the Idahosa family as a great shock, not only to the Commission but to the entire Edo State. 

Hon. Uwadiae noted that her passing is a significant loss and prayed that God grants the family the courage and resilience to bear the loss with faith and fortitude.

Also speaking, Hon. Aghimien offered prayers for divine consolation, asking God to envelop the family with His love and to grant them the fortitude to endure the grief.

He encouraged the family to take solace in the cherished memories, values, and legacy left behind by their late matriarch.

The Commission reaffirmed its support and solidarity with the Idahosa family, praying that the soul of the departed rests in perfect peace and that her legacy continues to live on through the lives she touched.
