Correspondents’ Chapel Expresses Deep Sorrow Over Death of Edo Deputy Governor Idahosa's Mother

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa

the mother of Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa.

adam Idahosa (neé Enabulele) died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 95.

‎In a joint statement by the chairman, Mr. Patrick Ochoga and secretary, Mr. Patrick Ahanor, they described the late matriarch of the Idahosa family as a woman of remarkable virtue, whose life was defined by service, resilience, and unwavering commitment to family and community.

‎The Ochoga and Ahanor noted that her longevity and impactful life stand as a testimony to her strength of character and the values she upheld, which are evident in the lives of her children and all who came in contact with her.

The statement read in part: ‎“We join the deputy governor, the Idahosa family, and the people of Edo State in mourning this great loss. Losing a mother, regardless of age, is always a deeply painful experience."

‎The chairman and the scribe prayed  God to grant Hon. Idahosa and his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and that the soul of the departed finds eternal rest.
