Edo HOSTCOM Solicits Support of Royal Fathers, Assures of Enabling Environment For Oil, Gas Companies

As part of his ongoing sensitization tour to the various oil and gas producing host communities in Edo State, the chairman of the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), Mr. Kenneth Aduwaye has solicited the support of the Omokhape of Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Itepu Jerome Jerome. 

Mr. Aduwaye, who led a delegation of the association during the weekend on a courtesy visit to the monarch, said that HOSTCOM is out for peace and ensure a good working relationship among critical stakeholders in the oil and gas sectors of the nation's economy.

He assured the royal father of HOSTCOM's determination to synergize with traditional institutions and the state government to create an enabling environment for the oil and gas companies and other stakeholders.

The chairman, who inaugurated six local government exco for Edo North urged them to commence their job immediately and diligently and always report back to the state secretariat in Benin City for guidance and clarification.

The six local government area chairmen are Jafaru Yusuf (Etsako East), Musa Stanley (Etsako West), Abu Ikhare Etsako Central), Joseph Abu (Akoko Edo), Joseph Imoudu (Owan West) and Momoh Abubakar (Owan East).

Also speaking, the secretary of Edo State chapter of HOSTCOM, Prince Odion Abumwebre noted that the inauguration of the association's executive in the six local government of Edo North Senatorial district is a step in the right direction as it will ensure that all the three Senatorial districts of the state are carried along.

Besides, Prince Abumwebre said that the move is also aimed at complimenting the good work of Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who has created an enabling environment for peace, stability, development and the empowerment of the people in the host communities in Edo State.

The national organizing secretary, Dr. Osasu Isibor, who commended the monarch for the royal blessings said that he is a father to HOSTCOM Edo State and Nigeria in general.

Sounding upbeat, he added that the new exco, which was inaugurated in Benin City on December 27, 2025 has come to stay and will perform better than expectations.
