He said: "I would like to commend Governor Monday Okpebholo and his deputy, Mr. Dennis Idahosa for giving concrete and fundamental expression towards the creation of the ministry which is the first of its kind since the creation of Edo State 35 years ago."

Prof. Omorodion charged staff of the ministry to redouble their efforts to be innovative and  adopt a strategic approach to fastrack the governor pillar in agriculture transformation, and food sufficiency as the ministry is very critical to sustainable livestock production in the state.

The commissioner for Livestock Development used the opportunity to appreciate the governor for providing him the platform to serve the state and assured the people of Ovia South West Local Government Area of being a good ambassador and justify the confidence reposed on him.
