Edo NLC Sets to Participate in Harmattan School

‎The leadership of Edo State Council of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed its readiness and preparedness to actively participate in this year's NLC Harmattan School holding from 23rd to 29th November, 2025 at the Public Service Institute,  Abuja. 

A statement Wednesday in Benin City, Edo State by the State Council of NLC disclosed that three participants led by the chairman, Caretaker Committee will represent the council at the 2025 NLC Harmattan School. 

‎The theme of this year's Harmattan School is "Workers' Rights in the Context of Global Economic Crises and Technological Advancement."

The statement which was signed by the state Caretaker Committee, chairman, Prof. Monday Igbafen noted that the Harmattan School is being organized around four courses, namely: Women Leadership,  Organizers, Educators, and Leadership. 

Prof. Igbafen noted that ‎like other state councils of NLC in the country, Edo State Council had sent names of its  participants for the school, , Leadership and Organizers.

"Knowledge and training acquired from the Harmattan School would be used to strengthen labour activism and industrial relations in the state," the statement added.
