Ahead of 2027 Poll, Edo ADC Appoints Ojeikere, Ex-Spokesman of Ighodalo Campaign Organization Media Coordinator

Ahead of the 2027 election, the Edo State branch of the budding African Democratic Congress (ADC) - Coalition has set up a media committee to manage perceptions and propagate its manifesto, programmes and policies to Edo people and Nigerians in general.

The committee is headed by Mr. Chris Ojeikere, a renowned publicist and former deputy spokesperson of the Asue Ighodalo Campaign Organization.

Other members of the committee are Mr. Odion Cedrac Okpebholo, the secretary; Gbenga Sunday;  Divine Edeifo Okun; Sharon Ogungbade; Oshioma Nyamali; Engr. Jeremiah Emonena Ogborokpa; and Ukesene Ndidi faith.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration at the party's state secretariat in Benin City on Monday, September 14, 2025, the state chairman of ADC, Mr. Kennedy Odion advised the committee members to strive to fulfill its mandate with a high sense of responsibility and integrity.

Odion said: "I know you are all experienced in media management and systems. You have been carefully chosen. So go out there and be professional and ethical in carrying out your mandate." 

He noted that presently the budding party has become the only real opposition left in the country as a refuge for Nigerians, who are desirous of seeking their political ambitions legitimately, adding :

"Much Is expected from us and we can't afford to let Nigerians down."

The state coordinator, Mr. Ojeikere assured the chairman of a robust and constructive engagement with the press, including the print, electronic and online.

He reiterated the determination of the committee members to deliver on the chairman's mandate and to uphold high sanctity in the discharge of their duties. 

Mr. Ojeikere thanked Mr. Odion and other stakeholders of the party for the confidence reposed in the members of the committee.
