Osazuwa and the quadruplets Hendrix Oliomogbe
Children, they say are the future and golden gift from God. Their arrival bring indescribable joy to the happy parents, friends, close family members and even clansmen.
Ironically, what is supposed to bring merriment to Mr. Augustine Osazuwa is presently the source of heartache to the mechanic following his inability to meet up with the expenses involved in taking care of his quadruplet children of three boys atd a git, who are still at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), where they were delivered on June 2, 2025.
The arrival of the four tiny tots was met with happiness flavoured with sadness as the wife and children are still in the pediatric ward of the hospital.
In deep distress, Mr. Osazuwa, 44, a motor mechanic said that he was over the moon, when his wife put to bed, adding sadly that the joy was however wiped off his brow when he was confronted with the huge financial expenses that had to be met.
Two weeks after the delivery and without any means of taking care of them, the desperate father made a passionate appeal to the public for financial support to cater for the bundles of joy.
He wailed that his current income as an automobile mechanic cannot sustain the enormous burden of caring for the four infants and a daughter from a previous relationship.
He said: "I am grateful to God for this miracle, but the financial demands are really telling on me. As a motor mechanic, my income is not enough to handle this situation.
"I am calling on the government, well-meaning Nigerians, and corporate organisations to assist me because I don’t have money now and I am financially exhausted. The hospital has really been very helpful."
The nursing mother is presently receiving medical attention at Ward M2 of UBTH, where both mother and the quadruplets are being closely monitored.
